Got Question?

We are here to help you!
What is a Home Remittance Account (HRA)?

A Home Remittance Account (HRA) is a specialized Zindigi account that enables you to receive secure, legal, and fast international remittances sent by your loved ones abroad, directly into your account.

You can only receive international remittances under the purpose of family support in your HRA. Other types of payments (such as freelance earnings or business payments) are not allowed in this account.
If you want to receive freelance or business payments, you’ll need to open a Zindigi Ultra Freelancer Account instead.

        Not always

  • If you already have a Zindigi Ultra Account or Ultra Freelancer Account, you can directly receive home remittances.
  • If you have a regular Zindigi account (L1), then you will need to open an HRA to receive remittances.
  • If you don’t have an Ultra or Ultra Freelancer account, an HRA is required to receive money from your loved ones abroad. Without it, your funds cannot be credited and will be sent back to the sender.
  • Any Zindigi customer with a Level 1 (L1) can open an HRA. If you have a Level 0 (L0) account, you’ll first need to upgrade to L1.

It’s quick and simple via the Zindigi app:

  1. Log in and go to More → International Remittance.
  2. Enter your CNIC.
  3. Provide your income details (source, occupation, purpose of payment).
  4. Add Next of Kin information (name, CNIC, mobile number, relationship).
  5. Provide Originator details (location of remittance, relation with sender).
  6. Set your MPIN to confirm.

Your HRA will be created instantly, and your remittance will be credited as soon as it arrives.

Credit (Yearly) Yearly 1 6,000,000
Maximum Balance Balance Cap 1 1,500,000

Your remittance will be directly credited into your HRA. From there, you can instantly transfer funds to your regular Zindigi account through the app.

  1. Open the Zindigi app → International Remittance.
  2. Tap Remittance Account to Zindigi Transfer.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  4. Verify details and tap Proceed.
  5. Authorize with your MPIN.
The money will be instantly transferred to your Zindigi account.

Your remittance will be held temporarily.

  1. Our call center will contact you (up to 3 attempts per day) to help open an HRA.
  2. If you don’t open an HRA within 5 working days, the funds will be reversed to the sender.

If you are unreachable for 2 working days, your remittance will be returned to the sender. Please keep your registered number active to avoid delays.

No, it’s completely free of cost.

No, the HRA is only for receiving and transferring international remittances. Once funds are in your Zindigi account, you can use them freely.
